    FYI:  Went to Belmont Hall yesterday.  It seems nice for smaller weddings.  It was just reclaimed by a private group from the State,  they are trying to start renting it out.  It needs some painting, but it might be just the type of place a bride on a budget might want.  Only problem is: our wedding is in May, and the State is supposed to start painting in the winter.  With my experienece of state and federal governments, I'm not persuaded that the painting will be done by May... sad.  A sad commentary on the state of government...

    We looked at Belmont Hall, too, and loved it!!! It has a beautiful outdoor ceremony area and is a great historic spot. The group who is running it also seem really nice and helpful, and really excited about hosting weddings there. While we ended up not being able to have our wedding there, we really wish it could have worked out. Great site!!
