  I love your castle topper!
  
  I don't have a picture of my cake yet (Seriously people?  None of you took a picture of the cake?!  I always take a picture of the cake at people's weddings!  /mini-rant over).  But here is a picture of the cupcakes we made for everyone and used at centerpieces on each table.

   A centerpeice that doubles as a favor...wow...now that's creative!
  
  My hubby had to have the castle cake because we couldn't have the wedding of his dreams which would have been in a castle(not to be confused with fairytale castle theme,lol).

  That definitely would have been cool to get married in an actual castle.  But the castle cake was a nice nod to it.
  
  We had a smaller cake for us to cut which wasn't served to the guests.  So I actually counted the cupcakes as:
  1) Centerpiece
  2) Cake
  3) Favor
  
  3 things in 1.  Can't beat that!

  I ended up drastically changing my mind on the cake 9 days before the wedding   Luckily it was no big deal to the baker.  Also this is a great example of the vingette that our photog put around every.single.photo.  For most of them it's really subtle and looks good, but really?

  I agree with the clean lines and simple decorations...thats what we were going for. The lego cake is simple but adorable...Did you make that?

  Nope!  The place that we got our wedding cake from, Cakes by Kim, made it   They charged us the same price as a regular sheet cake, so it only cost me $60!  I supplied the lego heart and lego wedding topper, as well as the lego candy.  DH really wanted one kind of their cake, so we got that for him with the filling he wanted

  I really want to go with a lace or damask style cake. Probably black and white though with red flowers. It just feels old fashioned but elegant to me. I can't wait! Cakes by Kim is doing my cake too!!!
