Hey everyone,
I'm about to propose and have two dates in mind, but there are so many variables floating around out there and I can't decide. Here are the two I have in mind and my overall plan.
The plan - we live in Minneapolis and she lives by the Walker Art Museum which has a beautiful sculpture garden, it was one of the first dates we ever went on, so I decided we could easily take a stroll through the garden (on our way to nice dinner plans) and nothing would be awry. As we walk through their beautiful garden area, I'd plop down and pop the question! We'd follow this with dinner, drinks, and maybe meet up with any friends in the area that want to share the celebration.
- July 3 (My birthday)
- Pros - she'll be completely caught off guard, we already have fancy dinner plans, fireworks can be arranged, we see her family the next day
- Cons - it might upstage her birthday gift, her cousin gets married July 28 (she's a bit of a bridezilla and I don't want any resentment)
- August 4 (weekend after cousin's wedding)
- Pros - not upstaging anyone/anything, much simpler weekend
- Cons - No fireworks, nice dinner plans might seem fishy
So, here we are... what do you guys think?
