An Officiant..one of the most important aspects of getting married, and we finally found one today for out outdoor ceremony! I hadn't talked about it yet because I was trying to not get too stressed about it, but in the last week or two i've been starting to worry that we wouldn't find one in time. This was my FI's responsibility because he wanted to have an old pastor of his marry us. I've been asking him for the last couple months if he has contacted him yet, but he kept dragging his feet. So last week I started searching other options, calling churches in the vicinity of our Wedding Venue, to see if anyone would officiate a wedding for nonmembers. When I started getting names of potential officiants, he finally picked up the phone and within 10 minutes we had an Officiant for our wedding, and booked a time to go meet with him and discuss plans. So excited and relieved, just wish my FI would take things a little more seriously. Anyone else having a problem with their FI not taking things as serious as you want them to?
My checks for this week are slowly adding up....Engagement Pics on Monday, finished hotel booking on Tuesday, booked my first dress fitting for next month and found an officiant today.
