Flower girls- other than throwing petals

So I just found out my church won't allow the flower girl to throw petals down the aisle.  Does anyone have any other ideas I can have her do as she walks down the aisle?  My mom saw on martha stewart that she can hold a banner that says "here comes the bride" but I am not super into that.

In most cases like these, I've seen the flowre girls just carry a little flower basket that had a flower arrangement built into it, or a pomander ball.

If I had a flower girl, I would've done a small bouquet and a wreath of fresh flowers on her head.

Some churches don't allow it (real or fake) because its a slipping risk. Thats why my church wouldn't allow it.

My FG is holding a pomander mostly because she is only going to be 1 and a half so I dont know if she will even make it down and didnt want to complicate it for her. But I think that it looks super cute too.

Oh thats what those cute things are called- pomanders?  What an odd name lol.  I was definitely thinking of her wearing a flower wreath with fresh flowers and butterflies in it.  I am obsessed with butterflies.  But I guess I can have her hold a pomander also and maybe put some butterflies on that also!

    Thanks ladies!

My church won't let her throw flower petals (or anything) either, they also don't allow an aisle runner.. because of the risk of slipping on the floor.
My flower girl will just be carrying a small bouquet similar to the bridesmaids. She's only 3 and pretty shy, so the chances of her actually walking down the aisle throwing petals are pretty slim anyway! lol

I know shes a flower girl, but maybe make her a bubble girl? She can blow bubbles down the aisle. When I was younger, I was a flower girl at my aunts wedding and my brother was the bubble boy.

My church is the same- u cant throw petals or have a runner, etc for slipping. My flower girl will carry a  pomanders as well and if u love butterflies, I bought a crystal butterfly bouquet jewel I am adding to hers since she loves butterflies as well.

I am def putting crystal butterflies in my bouquet :)  so maybe i can put the crystal ones or even those fake material butterflies in her pomander.  Where did you get your crystal butterflies?

I got them from http://www.bouquetjewels.com/ but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them. They sent me a few and all but one was completely broken. They refused to take them back or even apologize and you could tell it was broken even before they packed it because parts of the butterfly were bubblewrapped apart. I was just in Micheals and they had tons of small and large fabric and plastic/crystal looking butterflies. Or ebay is good for them :)
