Bridesmaid Dresses

Hi ladies!

I am going shopping with my ladies on may 1st! It is a sunday so many dress stores aren't open. Unfortunately, that is the only day of the week we will be able to do it! Does anyone have any reccomendations of dress shops? I would have went a department store route, but my ladies are all very different sizes and I don't think we could find something somewhere. I am wanting them in different gray dress that are the same color, fabric, and length. I am hoping for chiffon or something flowy, but I really just want to find something that makes them feel beautiful. Does anyone have any ideas other than David's Bridal or Alfred Angelo?

You can try Ventura's.  They are open from 12-5 on Sunday.  That is where I got my dresses. They have several different designers and several colors to chose from.

I went to both Ventura's and David's Bridal. I thought the atmosphere at both was very.... grungy.

If you want clean, friendly, HELPFUL staff, try Alfred Angelo. All of their dresses are under $200 and they have an amazing payment system. If you purchase your gown there, everyone in your bridal party receives $20 off their order. Not to mention, when you order your dress, all you have to pay is HALF of the cost of the dress, then remainder upon pickup.

I LOVED that process. We are all waiting for our dresses to come in! 2 more months!

Yeah, you are right.  Ventura's is a little dingy.  I wasn't impressed with that aspect either.  But they do have a lot to chose from and great prices as well.  We got our dresses for about $160, and that included rush shipping.  They also gave us a discount and all we had to pay was 1/2 down and the rest when the dress came in.  One bad thing though...they do not do bridesmaid dress alterations there. You have to find your own.

I ordered my wedding dress from Misora. They are open Sundays and have a decent bridesmaid dress selection. Very chic little store and the girls are so helpful.

The last wedding I was in the bridesmaid dress came from Venturas - they measured me at the front counter in front of a line of people including woman and her fiancee - who brings their fiancee anyway???  The dress when all was said and done $270 + I had to spend $100 to get it dry cleaned and altered since it was too big.  Needless to say, I do not suggest Venturas.  Here is a picture of the $270 dress....so not worth it!

Not sure what your price range is, but I would suggest calling ahead and making an appt.  Princess Bridal is a good one - no presssure bridesmaid dress shopping! Ask for a special sunday appt and they may oblige.  Weddings by Debbie and Panache are two others - just call ahead.
I was not impressed with Davids Bridal, although I have been in two weddings with dresses from there....meh, they were okay - way better priced than Venturas!  Alfred Angelo will not even look at you unless you have an appt - for bridesmaid or wedding dress shopping.  Good luck!
