Church Landing

Hi Everyone!,
My fiance and I have been looking at Church Landing for our wedding long before we were even engaged. I've been looking around and I can't find too many reviews, and I feel the pictures on the website aren't great. Does anyone have any personal experience with them. Any feedback would be great.

We are having our reception there in July. Have you been there? It is stunning!

So far they have been pretty good. My FMIL has not been impressed with their booking. She wants to put $ on the rooms so that the guests get a "discount" due to her cash...The hotel is having issues figuring this out. It shouldn't be that difficult; take the total amount and divide by the number of rooms in the block.

Other than the hotel room issue, we have been pretty impressed with them. Let me know if you have any other questions!

We're up in Meredith a lot during the summer and have walked through it a few times and think it will be absolutely amazing for a wedding. I think FI and his father are more excited about it than I am. I'm actually hoping to book it for June 2011.

I am a little concerned about the rooms as well. It's pretty expensive for some of our guests and I'm hoping we'll be able to find people who will reserve a room Friday and Saturday nights.

If you want to book it for June '11, I would contact them soon. We booked in August '08 for July '10. They only had 7 dates left for weekends in the summer of '10 then.

The rooms was the hardest thing for us. For a Saturday night you have to block 10 rooms (including your suite) for two nights. If they are not filled, you and your FI will be responsible for the cost of the rooms. We talked with close family members who said they would book within the block. FI and I talked about putting some money on the rooms if they didn't start booking so that our guests wouldn't have to pay the full price, but FMIL really wanted to do that for us and our guests.

We also have 10 rooms blocked at The Inn at Mill Falls (we don't have to fill those rooms). If we don't fill our CL block, we're going to pay the difference to upgrade those guests from MF to CL.

I plan on calling them tomorrow to see when they have availability. I really hope we can get something for June!

I'm sure I'll have a million more questions. This is all so overwhelming!
