I'm MARRIED/Vendor Review

I like most brides had a few minor mishaps at the wedding but all in all a great day!

Venue:  Stony Knoll Vineyard, Dobson  A+
They have a awesome package; $3500 for the whole vineyard, tasting room, model A truck for bride delivery, 2 cases of wine, all tables and chairs for up to 200 and an arbor.  Oh and a cabin for wedding night.  These are the nicest people you will ever meet.  A few things did not go according to the original plan--the owner was going to drive the bmaids and I up the wedding site through the vineyard however there was a severe thunderstorm that day and I guess it was too muddy.  Also the old truck was going to take us back to our cabin but it broke down where he parked it in the vineyard.

The only downside is your reception has to end at 10PM.

Florist:  Jojo's Dobson A
Bouquets were beautiful.  The wreaths had too many flowers/more than we wanted but looked good.

Caterer:  Salem Kitchen, Winston-Salem A+
Hope is great to work with and they have a HUGE menu.  If you don't see what you want, ask them!  We lived in TX for a while and wanted a "signature app" to celebrate our love of Mexican food- so we came up with brisket toastadas.  Everything was really good and I think very affordable.  They charge per sever but you don't tip so it works out about the same.

Cake:  Dewey's A+
Very very good cake!  I am from Mocksville so naturally I wanted a Ketchie Creek Cake but Dewey's was a little cheaper and I am pretty sure they use fresh cake (it tasted very fresh).

Coordinator: Planned to Perfection-Kristine Kokoski A+
Kristine is fabulous!  She will tell ppl what to do and when to do it.  She has done a ton of weddings and other events.  She has a lot of good ideas and can help with budgeting.

Minister: Margo Ross A+
Margo is wonderful.  She can do a traditional ceremony or more contemporary.  We did the traditional vows, added in a pledge from the audience, had a reading and she wrote a unique blessing for us.  It was not preachy and we had no Bible versus but like I said if you want straight traditional she will do that too.  She is located in Greensboro and does charge to travel outside of a certain area.

Ceremony Music: Elegant Ensembles A+
The music was beautiful (I wish I could have heard more).  They were very easy to work with.  I booked through Gig Masters but save your money just go straight to them.  Mark Snow is very on top of things.  One email did get "lost" but I called and left a voicemail.  He called back right away and did find the email.

DJ: Masque Productions, Mooresville A
Robbie and Scott are very nice and did a good job with the music.  The only issue was that I thought we would open the doors to the tasting room as they were outside but it was too hot.  So dinner music was played outside and we opened a window.  Kinda ghetto.  I did not ask if they had speakers to put into the tasting room b/c I didn't think it would be that hot and we could just have the doors open.
So on the down side they don't have mics or speakers to put inside but the price is great-$400 for up to 6 hours.  We had a meeting before hand which was really nice.

If you don't mind me asking...how much was your cake from Deweys, Officiant, and Salem Kitchen catering?

    Thanks :)

I loooove Dewey's! I went to undergrad in Winston and their bakery was a staple! Lemonade Cake is a must.

I left out the minister.  She was about $500 but we had to pay extra b/c it was more than 50 miles from greensboro.
