My Parents are probably the best people I know.

I've been struggling with my weight all my life and right now I am the largest I have ever been (207 lbs.) I was crying to my mother last week about how I'm going to look terrible in our pictures that we are taking in about four months and how I will be uncomfortable at my wedding. She felt so terrible for me. She and my dad came to me yesterday. Not only are they paying for my wedding, but they want to pay for me to do the Jenny Craig diet. It's like $100 a week for the food, and I can't believe that I have parents who are this wonderful to me. I don't know what I would do without them.

  • Awesome! Def soak up all that support. The hardest thing about weight loss is feeling like you have no help. That's great. Keep us posted on your success.

Before you try Jenny Craig, check out the book Choose to Lose. You eat regular food, high protein one day, high carb the next, though that's not exactly how I'd describe it. My friend lost 12 lbs on it the first month. Some other friends and I started a week ago and I've already lost 6 lbs which blows me away!!!! I've done diets and I've never had this experience before. I also ate out once and went to dinner at a friend's twice and was able to make it work. I know I can stick to it I've lost 80 over a few years, but haven't lost this last year, and now have about 50 to go. Seriously, try it! I'd say PM me and I've give you more details but I have no idea how to do that!
  • Thats awesome that your parents are being so supportive of you!

  • Thats wonderful that your parents are helping you out!  I am a big supporter of Jenny Craig.  A few years ago I was 210....I joined Jenny craig and everyone thought I was wasting my money etc..it was the best thing I did for myself....I was determined to do it as 210 was my heaviest also and I felt gross and I didn't have much control when it came to eating......my boyfriend (at the time now my FI) was very supportive and loving through all stages of this process (from my heaviest to my lightest) because it was not easy for me to change my eating habits....it took me 1 yr and 1/2 but I lost 55lbs doing it and have managed to keep it off......my only advice to you if you do jenny craig (because it is so expensive) is stick to the food for the first few months so you can see the reduction to motivate you...it will motivate you  trust me......and learn from the lifestyle changes as you progress through the stages.....I know many people who have put the weight right back on after stopping the food because they never changed their lifestyle.  Good luck and if you need any advice you can pm me.  I am now 160 and trying to lose a few more lbs for my wedding.  I still go to jenny craig.
