Wedding Planner recs

We are trying to decide between 2 venues, one has a coordinator and one that does not. I want to talk with some wedding planners to get a feel for if I want to put everything into a wedding planner not affiliated with the venue. Any advice on which comapny or specific planner to go with?
Mom to former 30 weeker born early to Pre-E. Now happy, health and growing at home!

When you interview wedding planners, find out if they have worked with both your venue options, and if so, how many times and what was their experience. Ultimately, it wont' matter whether your chosen venue has a coordinator or not if your wedding planner has experience with that venue. In selecting a wedding planner, that was my first criteria, following by fee and personal connection. There are many excellent coordinators in this area, as the girls on this board will attest to! Good luck.

I will always always always recommend Significant Events of Texas.  Meredith had great connections and my wedding was absolutely perfect.

  • I second Jen Ashford. I also agree that you need to make sure they have worked at or are familiar with the venue. Jen has worked my venue before so I feel pretty good about it. Plus I just love her :)
