October 2012 Weddings

Finally! It's Happening!

Reception venue is booked!

I hashed out my budget tonight (I needed reception venue cost), and I am coming in at $87 under budget so far. o.O We ended up spending $175 more on reception venue so that really cut it close.

So, tomorrow:
- Confirm ceremony date and time (pay Deposit), confirm baptism time (on Sunday)
- Purchase wedding dress! Need to find a veil still.
- Go to thrift store to look for shoes for kids. (they are going to be ring bearer/ flower girl)
- Finish envelope liners and finish addressing invitations
- Order baptism invitations
- Start printing invitations and inserts.  (Goal is to have them out in mail by Saturday!)
- Pay deposit on Florist
- Set up cake tasting
- Set up group accomodations at local hotel
- Need to get on bridesmaids re: dresses.

Thankfully most of that can be done by a short drive, phone call, or is within walking distance. The bridal salon is right across the street from me - so that will be super easy! I decided if they have the stress I tried last week I will get that one or else I will just order a BM dress in white. :)

Let's just hope I get half of that done!

Looks like you are really moving along!  I bought my veil on etsy for under $30 and love it.

  • Wish I'd looked more for veils after reading this thread.

My mom insisted on dressing me "from head to toe" and didn't seem to care what the price was (or thought all veils were stupidly expensive), so we got the one that I tried on at the bridal shop which cost a fortune. I almost died. I love a good bargain, and this was not!
