Reception Cost at the Madison in Covington

I just started planning my wedding and I am obviously starting with the venue. Someone told me to price the Madison in Covington, Ky. Their site has no pricing at all. I am looking to accommodate around 150 guests/open bar/buffet. Has anyone had their reception there? What was the estimated total cost? and what the additional cost to have the ceremony there?

    They have different minimums for each of their ballrooms. Anywhere from about 3-4K up over 11K. If you can book when they are running some kind of special, you can get 1K off the price usually. We are having about 120-130 guests and the price was around 6-7K(after tax and all that). Hope that helps.

    The room we wanted at the Madison wasn't available for our date so we went with another venue but I would recommend going to talk to the Madison. I think we met with Abby there and she was great. There are discounts for winter weddings as well as Friday night weddings. There isn't a room charge but there are room minimums. Honestly, I am getting married in November and the packages were incredibly reasonable especially for what you get. She was great to be understanding of our budget and try to make it work. We went in there with another quote from a different venue and they matched the price. Good luck!

    I am having my reception in April 2012 at the Madison! They have been absolutely wonderful, and one of the best priced venues for us. We are having a buffet style dinner and open premium bar for 300, and its approx 11k. Hope that helps!!!!

    I was debating between the Madison and Receptions, and the Madison was willing to negotiate a lot on the extras, like passed appetizers, open bar, etc.  Because we had a November reception, the minimums were pretty low.  Definitely give them a call, and don't be afraid to bargain with them if you've got pricing from another venue that they can compete against.
