unique venues

Hello! I am looking for an interesting venue that can accomodate approx 200 people for a late Sept 2013 wedding that will not cost a fortune. We want a full bar option, not just wine they make or anything like that. A barn, gorgeous house w/ backyard, winery, enclosed pavilion - something like that. We want to be able to go until midnight and it must have real bathrooms :)

I've tried all the obvious ones like Holden, Zoo, Botanical Gardens, etc and they are way beyond our budget.

We would prefer east side as far as the Auburn area, but will consider west as far as North Royalton and as far south as Cuyahoga Falls. Any ideas?

Re: unique venues

  • Check out Wildwood which is owned & rented out by the City of Mentor. You would have to bring in your own caterer & many caterer's offer bar service. Not sure if it will accomodate size you need but building is unqiue and it has gardens in the back which would give you that backyard feel.
  • With a requirement list like that, you'll just have to keep contacting places to see if you find a good fit for what you want. If not, you may need to prepare yourself to re-visit your expectations for the big day. Unique venues for that size guest list at a budget are not easy to come by. What is your per person budget, by the way?

Some to check out might include: Skyview Lodge in Brunswick, Heritage Barn in Stow, and Goodyear Barn at Spring Mist Farms in Brunswick Hills.

    Good luck!

  • St Clarence Pavilion. Only ahern catering is allowed to cater for them. Good prices though. Here's some pictures..
