10/27 Brides- 17 days!!

I cant believe there are only 17 days left until our wedding! We're doing everything ourselves (with family and friends help, of course), i.e no planner, no DJ, no catering, etc. So theres still a ton left to do! Im going into panic mode a bit here!

What do you other 10/27 brides still have left on your to-do list? Is anyone done and just waiting for the day to come?

No way! LOTS to do. We don't have a planner either but we do have vendors for everything else. We are lucky that our tent guy and caterer have worked together extensively (and our caterer has worked at our site before) so that's one less headache.

I still have to finish making our wedding programs (!) and picking our music for the wedding and reception. I have to meet with our organist and cantor to pick some of that out, so that's one more appointment. I also really really want to have gift bags for our out of town guests but not sure it's going to be in the budget...oh well.

I am stressed that my dress is too tight...it fits like a glove but I don't want to be that bride with her chest hanging out you know?? So I bought a corset extender hoping that will help a bit. I know having a large chest is a problem some people would love to have (and some people pay good $ for DD's) but it's not exactly helping to pull of the "demure bride" look.

I also need to pack a bag for the night before the wedding, wedding night, and honeymoon of course. Oh and I don't have a dress for the rehearsal yet. And now I'm rambling.

Ahh! So, you're not alone. I have lots to do as well!

17 day!!! AHHHHHHHHH! So excited and I thought I was handling my stress well, but apparently not because I've had eye twitches, thankfully unnoticeable to others, for the last month! I've also broken out in hives four times!

We have all our paper products to do yet.

Ceremony Programs

Final meeting with caterer tonight and florist too. Final meeting with dj tomorrow night. Mom in town this weekend for final fitting, buying unity candle, guestbook and finishing the ribbon wands and starting on the glitter monogram, welcome bags and sweets table take home bags.

Also have to buy 3 BM gifts yet-know what I'm buying just haven't pick the items up. Wrap gifts. Also, need to get FI gift!!!

Oh yeah, plus lose the last 5 pounds!

Everything is paid.

haha my STOMACH was twitching the other day!! I didn't know that was even possible.

I forgot to add the last 5 lbs ; ) good thing im too nervous/overwhelmed to eat.

i'm trying hard to be productive at work but it is just not happening!

Glad to see Im not the only one who still has a pretty decent to- do list! I broke out all over my forhead earlier this week, and really hope it goes away soon! I dont have weight to lose before the day, but Im a bit worried Ill end up losing weight and my dress will be a little lose because Ive been too nervous/busy to eat!

Today actually turned out to be a productive day without even trying! I got the last dish needed for the candy bar, my hair piece (I had one, but it was black and I ended up dying my hair black, so I got the same one in off-white), made a hair appointment, and my mom managed to find the final pieces needed to finish the centerpieces!

Sheesh! Where has the time gone? We paid a family friend to be our coordinator. $318.00 well spent. We had our last meeting with the vendors last month, everything is paid for and I don't have very much left to do:

Write thank you notes, toast
Finalize vows (I can't get them down past 2 minutes, so I'm cutting it in half and giving the rest to him as a letter day of)
Sort place cards by table # for caterer
Print and frame table numbers
Drop off birdcages and mason jars to florist for decorating
Send out final floor plans to vendors on Friday
Print and assemble programs
Bake cookies and cupcakes for OOT guest boxes
Find a Doggie Hotel for my babies (Really sad about this)

Wait, that's a lot! I better get to...

We still need to:
-finalize & print ceremony programs (thank you to a friend who is designing them for us!)
-finish seating chart and placecards
-get our notes/info to photographer
-get rest of BP gifts and wrap them/write notes
-write thank you notes to parents, toasts for rehearsal and wedding
-get misc. items for honeymoon and pack!
-final payments to various vendors

Plus a bunch of random odds & ends, like "tie bow around unity candle" and get fancy craft beer for toasting. IT doesn't look like much here, but there's still a lot of little things to finalize!

10/26 here and proud to say I am DONE with planning. We ended up cutting a couple things due to funds, but the important things are in.

Thinking back.... We actually only cut 2 semi-big things- programs and favors. Everything else was either scaled down or changed to be more cost-effiecent. I'm pretty stoked

we still need to do favors and a cardbox. MAYBE escort cards if I'm feeling ambitious. I still need to have my last dress fitting.

So I thought yesterday was more productive than it actually was. We STILL need more for the centerpieces! We've got 3 vases that are still empty! I guess theres gotta be that one thing that drives you crazy before the wedding. For some its their FMI, for me, its these damned centerpieces!! LOL

BTW, is anyone else starting to lose major sleep/have bad dreams about the wedding? I started to have one here and there, but theyre becoming mroe and more frequent, and last night was pretty bad. Im trying not to stress, but as soon as my head hits the pillow its like BAM! my brian goes into wedding overdrive!

This may make you feel a little better. I was told my flower order couldn't be fullfilled on friday, so we had to redo everything and I (better be!!!) ordering my new flowers today.
So...my list?
Order flowers
finish flower girl gifts..finish tshirts and pick up lockets
finish bridesmaids gifts...pick a few thigns up and wrap
seating chart
finish gluing cupcake plates
finish dj planner
bathroom baskets
table numbers
cupcake flags
week of..
make 400 cupcakes
put together flowers.

It's going to work, we will ALL make it work and it sounds like you have a small army of people to help out, so I have no doubt you will get it done, and its going to be GREAT!!!!!

Bahhhhhhh!!! I'm going crazy thinking of all the little things that I still have yet to do! We still need to:
Purchase drinks & candy (for bars),
Table Assignments
Table Names
Tying ribbons
Order bouts & corsages
Purchase bridesmaid gifts
Parent's gifts
Pen for guestbook
Box everything up

Oh yeah! And book hotel room for wedding night. Geeeez, I am so behind.

AND my tummy has been twitching, I've been breaking out, and my hair seems to be shedding a little more than usual lately. I'm ready for those side-effects to go away! If only they turned into weight loss!
