Lokking for suggestions...

Hi All -

My finace and I are getting married 8/12/2011 in Southern California. The goal is a beach wedding in Orange County. I am looking for any possible suggestions on vendors. We are not originally from CA, so I am not familiar with vendors, average prices, or locations in SoCal.
One thing I am looking for is venues for a reception with the option of BYO food & beverage. I have been directed to Wedding Compass and Here Comes the Guide websites, but these seem to be more directed towards locations that do not allow BYO... We would like to have a "family style" dinner.

Any Suggestions??....

Thanks! =)

    Hello, i've done some homework...

Fullerton Alumni House - $260/hr for Sat $65 per hour Friday (alumni price -little more if not alumni) Has an on site kitchen and your allowed to self cater.  Outdoor patio style.

Ol Hanson Beach Club - Very popular with Knotties on here... $4500 sat $3000 Sun  $4000 Friday allows own caterer, BYOB and on site kitchen BEACH FRONT!!

Historic Fullerton Ballroom - $3000 allows own caterer, BYOB (must be licensed) and on site kitchen.

The Romanesque Room - $2500 Sat allows own caterer and BYOB but still charges $7.50 pp for mixers etc. Banquet style.

I hope that helps!!!  let me know if in your research you find any additional locations that allow your own caterer, i'm looking for the same thing.

Not sure if you have a photographer yet but check out Josh Elliott at Josh Elliott Studios. Here is his website.

He is incredible and OC based. Really amazing with light which would really capture the warmth of a beach wedding.

As far as venues, try Laguna Beach. Lots of hot spots and it's a really cute/funky town.

    Happy Planning!

If you are looking for a florist... I LOVE mine. Bohemian Rose Designs. Cindy is the owner and she is fabulous about spending a ton of time to get what you want just right. She totally worked with us to do exactly what we wanted but stay on budget.  She does wedding's out of state too, so even though she is local in Orange County, she totally understands what it is like to plan a wedding out of state!

    Check her out! http://www.bohemianrosegardenart.com/
