Nice to see you.  Move along now.

My weekend was great, I didn't want to leave the beach.  But it's back to work today.

My cousin did alright at her competition this weekend.  She didn't win, but was pleased with her performance.  The whole place had a rough day on Saturday.  I don't know the whole story, but my aunt tells me that during the storms a drop-cord shorted out and electrocuted three of the horses, killing one.  It wasn't anyone my family knew, but still pretty emotional.  So it was a rough day all around there.

How was y'all's weekends?  Better than my cousin's, I hope.

    Yes...back to work.  Monday really hurts my feelings.

    Yikes about the horse competition.  That's a bummer!

    The ridiculousness of trying to send out invitations CONTINUES to be a plague.  I bought all of my stamps yesterday and sat down to put together the response card and invite and realized that the 2nd box of envelopes was in FI's car...which is in the shop.  So needless to say we got just over half done with stamping, labeling, etc.  I can't wait to have that part behind me.  These things have been a big hassle! Blah!

    FI's wedding band came Saturday!  That was one of the "Wow!" moments that makes you realize that you're closing in.  I've had my band...I had a matching set.  We are getting soooooo close to the big day!

    Mary, Glad you had a great time at the beach... that's so sad to hear about the horses. :o(

    Malea, I'm in the same boat... I tried so hard to finish my invites this weekend, and I'm still not completely done! fml. I kick myself everytime I think how ridiculous it was for me to make pocketfolds... so glad I'm never getting married again because this has been a nightmare.

    Umm.  yeah...about invitations.  I should order those. Frown

    I did order envelopes, and I had a return address stamp made.  So I can at least begin addressing before the invitations get here.  But I'm going to have to finalize the design and order them if they're ever going to get here.

    haha, I ordered the return address stamp and addressed all the envelopes first too. The time consuming part has been cutting out all of the insert cards. WHY did I ever think, Oh, I'll just cut them myself to save money... at this point, I would have rather paid someone else to make them then cut out all of these insert cards.

    I was at the beach this weekend with my fiance for our anniversary. I so did not want to leave yesterday! The weather was perfect and it was so nice to just relax with him. I hope this week goes by fast!

    Back to work for me, too. Especially hard after taking time off for the wedding. I turned to DH last night and said, "Tomorrow means back to real life." Blah. I had to get a new parking pass at work today (I work at UNCW) and the parking lady chewed me out for my outstanding parking ticket of $25. Sorry I didn't take care of that, but I was busy with something else these past couple weeks. :P

    I'm already ready to head back to bed.

    I hope everyone had a good weekend & hope this week flies by.

    How horrible about the horses!  But I'm glad some of you ladies got to go to the beach and have a good time.

    I'm actually glad to be back at work today because the A/C went out at our place Friday and still isn't fixed yet!  So at least work means I'm not sweating to death.

    Our weekend was not that great because it was super hot in the house.  But we took Lola to her first training class, she rocked at the "leave it" command, since she won't actually eat treats outside the house ;) lol.

    Yea those invitations are a pain in the patootie. 

    Yikes, that is awful about the horses. :(  So sad.

    Picked up wedding bands this weekend, awesome.  Dress is finished, just needs to be steamed....I am officially a bride now.  Now I am exhausted.  I hope I can struggle the energy to get through this week, honeymoon here I come!!

    Ahh - 5 days, sundrop!

    I really wanted to DIY our invites.  But at this point, I don't have time.  I need to run the proofs by the people who get a say, and get them started.  I'm using an Etsy seller that says she has a 2 week turnaround, if it's true, I'll get them done in time to put them in the mail and still leave people enough time to RSVP.

    Sundrop - you can make it!!!! Everything gets a little crazy right before, but it's worth it because you have such a great time during/after the wedding. Hope everything goes really smoothly!!!!

    Unhappy Monday everyone!! Monday is the worst day of the week..especially when you've been off work for a week. I did have an awesome weekend since we got to shoot our e session and it didn't rain! I would have loved to go to the beach but I was afraid of the weather. Im glad everyone else had a great weekend.
