poughkeepsie hotels help!

hi,
i've written other posts along the same lines as this one. but i am intersted to know- we are getting married at west park winery in october and the majority of our guests (including ourselves) will need to stay in a hotel.
in an ideal situation we are looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with a bar/ restaurant within.  so many of our guests are traveling from out of town and the most inclusive option would be best.
we live a little over an hour away, so plan on going to take a look ourselves but would really love any feedback.
has anyone used or stayed at the courtyard marriot in poughkeepsie, or the clarion (which i gather used to be under different ownership that didn't get great reviews?)
i have looked at the hotel sierra in fishkill and this is right along the lines of what we are looking for- however at close to 20 miles away from our venue it seems a bit inconvenient.

ANY reviews or suggestions would be so helpful!
thanks, ladies :)

What about if your guests stayed in New Paltz? I think it's about 10 miles away and it's a cute town where they could find something to do when they aren't doing something wedding related.
If you are looking for them to stay in Poughkeepsie, I've heard the Hampton Inn is nice. My FI parents have stayed there.

i really like new paltz too! the only problem is there really are no large hotels there. lots of cute b&b's but we will probably have close to 100 guests staying over and for the convenience of it we would need an actual hotel.
    thanks!

Hmm... no hotel in a college town?! They need to change that! I know there is a motel 8 there, but I can't imagine it being nice.
The only other places I can think of are the Pok Grand and the Hampton Inn and Suites - it's by IBM in Pok so it's close to the Mid Hudson Bridge.
