Crate & Barrel Registry event

Just signed up today with FI! Crate & Barrel in Westport is having a registry event. It's basically a private opening for couples to come register. They'll have music, food and drinks (although it'll be morning so I assume nothing alcoholic). It's Sunday June 27th from 9-11am. It's an hour and a half drive for us, but we're really excited! We're hoping to catch a Macy's Sip and Scan event sometime later in the year too! Has anyone ever been to something like this before? And is anyone planning to go to this one next Sunday?

    I went to one in NY on Tuesday. They're great. Free champagene, strawberries, food vendors with snacks. Everyone is really friendly too and willing to answer even the smallest questions.

    I went to one in the West Hartford store when we registered at Crate & Barrel and we loved it! It was great for the store to be open just to couples who are registering, plus like you said they provide breakfast. I don't recall if it's just orange juice or if they made mimosas...

    Also, we got a gift for attending the registry event, we got a small heart shaped glass bowl and I love it!

    So, anyone thinking of going to one of these events I would definitely encourage you to go! They're fun and it's nice to have the store to yourself!

    I forgot to add the only issue we've had is no one is buying off of our Crate & Barrel registry and it's so sad because all our favorite stuff was on there and we were so excited about it! We registered there, Target, and BBB. Looking back now we would have skipped Target because Target was almost bought out for my bridal shower, and a lot of that stuff could have been found at BBB or C&B and we gave our guests too many options of where they could shop. Since Crate & Barrels aren't very popular in Connecticut and there are only 2 in state, I would suggest only having one other registry if you register at C&B so that your guests have a reason to go check it out or go online and see what they have. HTH!

    This exactly!!  FI and I had so much fun at the one we went to!  It was nice to have all the associates available to help us, some of the couples helped each other out too!  We were served coffee, OJ and mimosas.  They also has some snacks, but I don't remember what.   We got a gift also, they were 2 heart shaped toasting flutes, really cute, but I would get more use out of the bowl!!

    I agree! We only registered at C&B and Macy's, but everyone seems to be going to Macy's! The stuff we really want is at C&B. I guess I'll see what happens next weekend at the shower. :]<div>
    </div><div>Still, I really highly recommend going to the registry event. We went to the one in Westport last October to set up our registry, and it was loads of fun!</div>

    Thanks girls! Hope to see some of you there next weekend! Great tip about target! We were planning to register at C&B, Macy's and Target. I def see the reasons why people would tend to flock to Target, and I think I will nix that one :)
