I am walkin' on sunshine! And no, I can't get that song out of my head, either!
This past Sunday morning he proposed. I was still in bed, undressed, and he asked me to get dressed and come outside. I followed him to the end of the driveway, next to the big open field (he lives in the country) and he took the ring box out of his pocket. He opened it and started to say "I know it isn't going to fit.. and I'm so afraid you aren't going to like it.." and I was like WHOA! Back up! What are you asking me?
Then he got down on one knee and asked "Will you marry me"? Of course I said yes. We were both crying and just stood outside and hugged and kissed for a while. I kept saying "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Is this real?"
Soon after we drove to his parent's house to share this news. I made my calls, he made his. Then we posted it on facebook and the news spread quickly!
I'm still soaking it all in, haven't made any plans other than our date.
We're hoping to settle on a wedding site and reception site this weekend after we scope out what we already have in mind.
