I got a beautiful dress and need to find a seamstress to take in my dress. Can anyone recommend someone who does great work, but does not charge too much? Thanks in advance!
Angie Cavallaro, 703-830-0634, is in Northern Virginia and gets uniformly rave reviews. You might also consider Estee Livioco, 301-869-5971, who gets similar reviews but is a bit farther away from you (in Gaithersburg). We (and my DIL) used Estee, and were all thrilled by the results. Both tend to book up quickly, so you're best off calling one of them as soon as possible to book.
A secondary advantage is that since both of the women are independent seamstresses, their rates tend to be lower than those of bridal salons.
I lived in Nova at the time of my wedding and Mom lived in Glen Burnie. There I chose Diana Adams of www.MarylandSeamstress.com. She is a sweety, and took my gown in over 10 inches! ( I bought it at a brides against breast cancer event). Thought I would mention her for those willing to travel. A plus is she works Saturdays!
I used Lien in Herndon. She had great reviews on another site that I saw, I gave her a try, and she's sweet, and resonable priced. Her number is 703-904-9733

She is a sweetie-pie and very experienced.
Good luck! P.S. I am a successful full-time videographer in the DC area and after hundreds of events; I feel I am qualified to offer this advice.
