We have chosen all of our music! Music is really important to me, so I am excited! I wanted to do more contemporary songs for the ceremony but I know my mom and FI's mom wanted to hear some traditional, so... we are doing both. We are just having a pianist play everything (just piano, no words...except the solo- it will be piano and voice). PS- from our selections, you can tell I love Mercy Me haha. 

Music as guests arrive- Either Here With Me or God With Us by Mercy Me

Seating of the Moms/Grandmas- I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me

Bridesmaids' entrance- Canon in D by Pachelbel 

My entrance- Romantic Bridal March by Miranda Wong (I didn't want the traditional "Here Comes the Bride" song- but my mom and FI's mom did. I found this on youtube and I am so glad I did! Solo while we do God's Knot- When God Made You by Newsong- sung by my good friend and BM who has an amazing voice

Song played as we leave as husband & wife- Forever by Chris Tomlin

Song played as guests begin to leave- All of Creation by Mercy Me

Our first dance at the reception- Hold You Up by Matthew West

Father/Daughter dance- I Loved Her First by Heartland (thanks Emily for the suggestion!)

Mother/son dance for FI and his mom- Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Anniversary dance- Through the Years by Kenny Rogers

Last dance- At Last by Etta James sung by my BM and friend who is singing at the ceremony- she brings down the house when she sings this one! 

From our choices, you would think that we are huge country fans. We're actually not. I mean, we like it, but it's definitely not our fave. Just happened to choose country songs for some things. 

Sorry this is so long! Has anyone else chosen all their music and would like to share?

    I have!!! :) Im a really big fan of the music from pride and prejudice lol

    Music as guests are arriving etc will be played by two of my best piano students.

    Music for parents and grandparents: postcard to henry purcell (from pride and prejudice)

    Bridesmaids and flower girl: Dawn (pride and prejudice)

    My song! : Liz on top of the world (pride and prejudice)

    We are both songwriters and musicians so we decided to write a song to each other to be sung as vows to each other.

    I agree!! lol Everytime I hear the song Im walking down to I start to tear up because its so dramatic lol Im planning on coming out as the music really comes in strong.

    Love Pride and Prejudice and so many of the other songs you guys have picked! I am a big Mercy Me fan too!

    I'm still working on the reception playlists, but I've got our ceremony music!

    "Prelude" - not really a prelude, cuz I've got a half hour playlist for the whole time people will be seated and milling around in the sanctuary. Songs include For the Moments I Feel Faint, Uncreated One, and Washed By the Water :)

    Processional - "This Road" by Jars of Clay. SO PERFECT a message for weddings...love it.

    Special Music - "Amazing Grace" by Jim Brickman & Ginny Owens, My choir director will be on the piano and one of my best choir friends from high school will sing the solo. We're going to conscript one of the director's high school students to play the conga drums :)

    Recessional - right now it's "Taken Up" by the St. Olaf Limestones :D A Cappella was my thing all through college and this song would be amazing to kiss to and then exuberantly exit. We'll see if mom vetoes it :P
