NWR: Alarm Clock Situation with FI/DH

Just curious what other people do, personally I hate the snooze button, I have a tough time falling back to sleep, so if DH uses it, I'm pretty much up from the time the first alarm goes off until I get up myself.

We each have our own because we wake up at different times and those times change throughout the week...but we're both snooze button abusers :)

We each have our own.. however, I don't use mine cause there's no need to.  FI sets his for 6am, and he hits the snooze button for the next 45 minutes.  Drives me nuts cause I'm the type of person that once i'm up, I'm up.  so, I can't go back to sleep after the first alarm at 6!

We get up at the same time together every morning regardless of our schedules. He often starts much later than I do but will just do errands or whatever until he has to leave so it works for us.

And it is much nicer to get up together and grumble about it together than have one of us sleeping while the other grumbles. :)

FI is a big time snooze abuser! So we keep the alarm on my side since I'm up the second the thing goes off. I'll do what I need to do then wake him back up so he can get ready..lol.

He uses his cell phone alarm on vibrate- its been a great compromise over using the "snooze" button.!

We both have our own. I get up way before him. I hit the snooze 1 time every morning.

I'm like you.  Alarm clocks don't wake John up -- he'll let them go off forever.  And then he'll hit snooze.  And then I can't fall back asleep.  He wakes up earlier than me on weekdays because he goes to the gym in the morning, so that's an issue.

Our solution is that we have a dual alarm clock, on my side of the bed.  When John's alarm goes off, I turn it off and tell him it went off (and tell him again and again until he acknowledges that he heard me).  Normally I can't fall back asleep until he gets out of bed (which can be 10 minutes -- I usually kick him off after that), particularly because our boy kitty usually starts howling after the alarm clock goes off, but it is better than letting him have an alarm clock on his side (which I'd have to move a lot to turn off, which would wake me up for good).

Definitely very tough being a ridiculously light sleeper married to a heavy sleeper.

We use our phones so have our own.  The big thing with me is that our bedroom clock is set 45 mins fast....so i am never late...drives her crazy!

This is going to be interesting. I am a serial snooze abuser. It's bad, I admit it. But FI wakes up on his own without an alarm at like 5AM. I usually roll out of bed closer to 6. I guess I will get to the gym earlier then...no harm in that I guess.

My FI and I have separate alarm clocks. My FI likes to set his clock fast which drives me insane. When I look at the clock I want to see the real time. :) He also hits the snooze button like nobody's business. I even have to prode him some times to get him to turn the alarm off. I don't know how anyone can sleep through alarms. Haha. Once the alarm goes off I'm up and moving.

We have separate alarm clocks because we wake up at different times. I am usually the first one to wake up. We are both pretty good at getting right up though. We don't really hit snooze.

Fi uses the alarm clock and I use my cellphone alarm.  I'm not currently working so my schedule it's all over!!  The only day of the week that we get up at the same time is Mondays and then I just get up on my own mostly around 8 - 9ish.

He also was a serial snooze abuser...pushing the snooze up to 5 times!!!! I couldn't go back to sleep after the first one so now he only does it one.  I trained him well ;]

I have an alarm and FI has puppy duty (which is usually about 6:30). =)  Days where he needs to be up before the dog, he sets his alarm on his phone, otherwise he wakes up when the dog wakes him up.

Depends on the day... we don't have an alarm clock, we use our phones. Mine is always set, and set on vibrate. He sets his when he needs to wake up early- but usually ends up hitting snooze so much that we are waking up at the same time. Drives me nuts b/c he doesn't usually wake up to the alarm and I literally have to shove him out of bed after a little. I set two alarms on mine- 10 minutes apart, and sometimes I'll snooze the last one haha

FI and I both get up at 5:45.  We use the alarm on my phone but the dresser is on his side so he's in charge of it.

We each use our cell phones. Mine goes off a little earlier and then his will go off as a back up. We both hit snooze a lot. I can't just jump out of bed. We both commute together so we are up at the same time.

</div><div>I have always woken up before him without my alarm, usually around 6 AM regardless of the day of the week.  I think the weather, the fact that it's staying darker later, and our lingering jetlag is affecting my ability to get up.  As long as I get back on my early bird schedule, it won't be a problem, but if his alarm keeps waking me up and he doesn't get up for another 30 minutes, we're going to have to figure something out.

If FI has to wake up earlier, he will go to bed earlier.  That way he won't need to use the snooze.
If I have to wake up earlier than FI, the snooze button is not an issue.  FI can have the alarm clock ringing for 5 minutes or more without him waking up.  His problems is with light in the room.   If I turn on the lights he wakes up instantly.
