  I just started planning my wedding. My fiancee and I are paying for everything ourselves and i would be greatful if anyone out there knows of any beautiful venues that are affordable....thanks

  Try the Dana Point Youth Facility Center (or called something like that).  Its right on Mother's Beach at the Harbor.

  try the OASIS Senoir Center in Corona del Mar.  It's a brand new facility, kind of modern/organic/so cal look.  The event room fits a lot of people (400?), they have a pretty courtyard for cocktail hour and plenty of free(!) parking. It's also walking distance to the beach (pics!) and bars (afterparty!)  and it's pretty reasonable.  We would have done ours there, but the Honey wanted everything outdoors...I would have put "Oasis Center" on the invites

  Lantern Bay Park in Dana Point - thats where we're doing our wedding and reception. Its got an outdoor amphitheatre surrounded by roses for the ceremony and tons of green space to set up tables and chairs for the reception.  Its also on a bluff overlooking the harbor.  Its a public park so there's no rental fee, but there is a approx. $150 permit fee to reserve the space and an $85 wedding insurance fee.

  Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach! My sister was married there last year and it was wonderful, food, linens, etc all coordinated for you! I went with her for a few meetings and they were great!
