do you get all the e-pics, b-pics, and trash the dress pics on a disk too?

its a good price.  im paying roughly 6000 (out the door) and i'm getting (off the top of my head)

    - engagement session, retouched photos
    -engagement book (guestbook)
    - all e-pics on disk
    - b-pics, retouched photos
    - b-pic album for my fiance
    - all b-pics on disk
    - full day coverage of wedding, 2 photogs
    - a certain number (like 200) will be retouched, and then 40 of those will get the "royal treatment" so to speak, with photoshopping
    - all wedding pics full res on disk
    - album is 12x12 40 pages i think

    - photo booth at the wedding + they print the images and send them to me to include with my thank-yous

    i think thats it.

*edit* and i just want to add that my photographer is awesome and totally worth the price!!

That actually sounds very reasonable for what you are getting. I'm only having 1 photog for whole day and rights to all the images on a cd for $2000. After seeing what everyone else is getting I'm starting to regret letting FI be in charge of finding a Photographer.

Yes all disks are included all the wedding photos are retouched also 1200+ Thanks for your input I'm just about to send a deposit. I can add a photo booth for $500 but honestly I don't want one.

If the photographer has experience 5yrs+ and you love their photos then it is a very good price. Just be sure you have a contract and they are insured. It's actually on the low side for all that which leads me to believe they may be inexperienced. Your photos are very important, not a place to skimp.

    Christi,
Im getting the same as you, 1 photog, 1 day, all images for 2k, I couldn't afford any of the album packages from photographers I liked so it seemed like a good deal... trying not to second guess :)

</div><div> $2000 is the discounted price because the photog is FI's client(FI does Apple computers consulting). According to FI, our photog used to do weddings but now he mostly does commercial stuffs for Fortune 500 companies. I actually have not seem any wedding work from my photog only FI has. FI insisted on hiring him. We're meeting with him this Sunday so I can look over his wedding portfolio, I'm hoping I'll like his work or it would be really awkward when I fire him. </div><div>

That seems like a good price for all you are getting. We're currently in the market for a photographer too and that seems to be close to the package quotes we've been getting from various photographers

that is TOTALLY a good deal.  i paid $3500 but got a LOT less.  Just 1 photog, JUST wedding coverage (no epics, bpics or anything else), and only 1 album.  and only like 500 pics.  no rights, i have to pay an extra $75 for those in 3 years...

It's a good price!!  I decided not to have a photo booth after all at the last moment, I'm afraid it might be to distracting/cheesy. Our photographer traded it out for us tonight for an extreme bridal session so I'm excited.

umm well im afraid of what package im going to get i budgeted 1000.00
i met a photographer from a bridal show that says he customizes packages to make it work for our budget, we also have cameras on each table to have the guests take pics... will see what happens, but for all that stuff that your getting i would say thats a good deal.
