Eye Makeup HELP!!!

I really need some help in the eye makeup department.  I'm having a MUA do airbrushed foundation and and eye as well.  The shadow she used for my trial (seen below) was pretty but too dark for me.  I'm fairly pale and a brunette with green eyes.  I want something soft, maybe even a little smokey, just softer than the dark purples she used.  Any pictures or ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)

    I think you need to redo your trial. I would absolutley tell her you were unhappy. your makeup is way to dark and does not accent your natural beauty at all

    I can understand why she used purple, since that is the opposite on the color wheel to green and really makes them pop. If you're unhappy, then have her do it again and just ask to tone it down. Perhaps it's the lighting, but it doesn't really seem like you have much makeup on at all (except for some darkness in the eyes).

    I really like pinks for eye makeup, though I am blue-eyed.  I am also fair skinned, though.  I find purples to make make my eyes look red.  But I agree with PP that I'd redo the trial due to not caring for the dark makeup.
