Airbrush - thoughts?

Hey ladies,

Looking for some opinions on airbrushing.

I had a MUA do some make up for my engagement photos and I felt that shortly after application the foundation got grainy looking (could be a bunch of reasons) so that made me think of airbrushing (which she does not offer)

Did you have it done? Thoughts on it? Recommendations on MUA who offer it?

thanks in advance!

Re: Airbrush - thoughts?

  • I got my makeup airbrushed this past weekend in the hamilton area. It went great, but I think it all depends on the primer and sealer that your makeup artist uses on you to make it stay.

  • personally, i am not about airbrush for a whole lot of reasons. having worked in the industry i could go on and on, but the one thing I will say is if you are having an ourtdoor wedding/ceremony/photos - don't do it. it's really really harsh looking in natural light.

do a trial, in any case. and see what works best for you. but with the array of fantastic primers, foundations, and finishing powders/sprays out there i don't see it necessary.

check out make up forever line for the above - fabulous stuff & i swear by it.
