Looking for comfortable elegant wedding shoes

Hi, my wedding dress is a beautiful Monique Lulliher Bliss dress, all lace with a slit in the front. This means that I have to (and want to) get some elegant, classy shoes, but I am also looking for comfort. Any suggestions?

Re: Looking for comfortable elegant wedding shoes

  • If you have a high budget for shoes ($300+), then I've heard rave reviews of two companies:

http://www.somethingbleushoes.com/  Something bleu shoes (the wedding division of Butter shoes)

    https://www.shopheylady.com/  Hey Lady shoes

Really comfortable, gorgeous shoes (both flat and heels), but very expensive.

If your budget is not so high, part of the comfort is going to be related to your heel height.  Do you want high heels?

  • I'd look for a material, if possible, that won't rub & potentially blister your skin from walking all day. I find some shoes, even on the pricier end, with straps are bad for that if you have to wear them for 12+ hours. Also, they sell comfort inserts for heels now. Depending on the style of your shoe, you may be able to use those! :)
  • Badgley Mischka shoes are beautiful and since they are designer, they are also comforatble. You can find them discouneted on zappos, bonus!

  • I am also looking for comfy wedding shoes in either navy, fuschia, or dark turquoise.  My dress is fit and flare and has loads of layers at the bottom so I'm reluctant to wear high heels.

I actually bought these Nina "Culver" peep toe 2.5 inch heels. They are comfy but are in much need of sparkles or something to class them up.  Not sure if I will keep them or try to get crafty with some crystals from Michael's.

Also..is anyone else obsessing with the iconic "shoe" picture? You know, where the shoes are propped up showing off their elegance and class?  I think I've just read way too many wedding blogs where the shoes are all Jimmy Choo, Valentino, or Manolo...my photog will need to photoshop out the "Nina" label...
  • If you can swing the price ($525), I would definitely go with the Jimmy Choo Logan d'Orsays.  They are so comfortable.  I am trying to justify getting them myself.  :)
