Venues that allow outside catering in south jersey!

Hello my fianc and I are trying to find a nice ballroom that allows outside catering, we DO NOT want to spend 10,000 just on the rented space. We are on a tight budget due to we are paying for it ourselves. We live in south jersey. Please if anyone has any decent ballrooms that they know of that allow outside catering, please let us know!!! Thank you :

I think the community house in Moorestown had a list of caterers you had to choose from, but it was a pretty long list.

I had my wedding at Auletto's, which has their own catering, but we did a buffet, open bar, hors d'ouevres, wedding cake, and table centerpieces for $102pp (including everything at the venue; linens, tables, chairs, etc). I recommend them to everyone.

One thing you may want to be careful of is that many places where you need your own caterer end up costing more, since you forget to account for all of the rentals involved (tables, chairs, linens, dishes, glasses, etc). A good budget place in South Jersey is Marion Caterers in Cherry Hill - prices as low as $35pp, you provide all your own alcohol (they have a bartender who serves it).

    Hope that helps!

  • Collingswood Ballroom, Camden County Boathouse, Haddon Fortnightly, and Gibson House in Evesham Twp are all places that you can rent.  The first two have a list of preferred caterers they use, but most times caterers will work within your budget.

I had my reception at Brigalias in Sicklerville.  You get a lot for your money there.  I had the middle package which included a sit down dinner, cocktail hour (food was everywhere!), open bar, centerpieces, cake, table numbers, linens, card box, etc.  We paid $94pp including tax and gratuity.  They also have a budget package that is about $77pp, if I recall correctly.  Also, their grounds are beautiful, so lots of places for pictures!  And the inside is just as beautiful.

And lastly, PP is right that you may end up spending more when you calculate the fee to rent the facility, the caterer, and all the things you need to rent.  So I would look into places that do it all, so that you can at least compare pricing across the board.
