Re: TGIF

  • I can't see past my cup of coffee right now, thanks to the Incredible NonSleeping Baby1. H has a long weekend, and I think we're going to try to get out and enjoy the weather while it is still nice! Maybe a picnic/trip to the park!

Other than that, I don't think we have anything in the way of plans.

  • Ah, you beat me!  I'm just going to be doing prep for a shower I'm throwing, and H is going out of town Saturday night, which means I can either have some me time (aka watch my shows and paint my nails), or hang out with the girls.

A picnic sounds awesome!  It's supposed to be nice here this weekend, so maybe I should try to get outside some.

  • We had two days of just steady, soaking rain, so the ground is pretty saturated, but if it dries out well enough, we're hoping to take our dogs to the park Saturday or Sunday.  Tomorrow we get to go pick up our new car, and then we're going to take a trip to a museum that I remember visiting just about every year in middle school.

DH got to come home a day early, which was very nice.  We went to a bar downtown and watched my Baylor Bears win the NIT Championship game!  It was an adventure finding a bar willing to turn a television away from the Thunder/Spurs game since we were right next to the arena where the Thunder play.

  • Nothing special planned for us, we might go out for dinner somewhere tonight.  There's a place downtown that has AWESOME burgers and lots of different beers on tap, maybe we'll go there now that it's allowed on Fridays :)
  • dinner out with friends tonight although im  exhausted.

gym all weekend to work it off!  lol
  • We have the Reds game tonight, faculty meeting in the morning, a benefit on Saturday night where I will be jailed and have to raise bail, a grandson's birthday party on Sunday afternoon, and going to dinner with my sister and BIL at the Melting Pot on Sunday.  I will need Monday to catch up on my sleep.

  • Kristan - I know someone really awsome in Phoenix if you end up out here and you're looking for a coffee date complete with Crazy Baby.  Cool

Resa - Sorry I beat you to the punch! Smile Sometimes, a night in in just what the doctor ordered.

Prof - yay for the new car!

People with yummy food plans, color me jealous (so, green, I guess).

  • aww shoot, already commented on Resa's Friday post... We'll be at a work bowling party tonight and baby visits and possibly more townhouse tours the rest of the weekend!  Maybe some packing, too, if I can motivate myself.
  • Biblio, you know that if I ever go to Phoenix, I will hit you up for a coffee date!  (I'll probably get tea, but still...)

Newly -- Packing is the worst, but I am a firm believer that it's easier to put the time into packing well in order to make unpacking easy.  If you pack all last minute and it's not organized, it takes FOREVER to unpack!

  • I'm hoping to enjoy some nice spring weather (finally)! And I am hoping that my pinched nerve issue in my back calms down and this darn head cold goes away.

We just booked a trip to visit my husband's father (and half siblings) in Ireland this May!!!  We are unbelievably excited. We don't get to see him that often, and usually it is only when he comes here. We've been saving up for this for a while.

biblio - my friend that lives in Phoenix is "almost" engaged and she said to be ready for a wedding in Phoenix real soon... I will def be hitting you up when that happens!
  • Riss - a trip to Ireland?! Sounds amazing!!!  Ireland is definitely at the top of my bucket list, I just hope we can go there sometime before I'm too old to enjoy it :)
  • You all sound like you've got fun weekend plans! My husband comes home sometime this afternoon after being out of town all week. I'm hoping he is thinking Chinese food for dinner because I just want to sit down and eat a pint of veggie fried rice right now. I've been sick all week so I'm really just looking forward to having a second adult (parent) in the house. And catching up on my shows I was too lazy to watch last night. Yes, it is apparently possible to be too lazy to even watch tv.

</div><div>Resa & Biblio - I'll be sure to not procrastinate on the packing, then!  Especially since most of it will sit boxed up in my in-laws basement until we get a house... I'll have to be very strategic about what is packed and what isn't and how accessible the items are!

That's great advice on packing - I'll have to try and remember it when we're moving from condo to house. When I moved out of my apartment and into H"s condo, by the end I was just throwing stuff in boxes randomly... not looking forward to making sense of those boxes once they come out of storage!
  • Got word this afternoon that my car still isn't ready and won't be until next week.  :/  Doesn't TOTALLY ruin our weekend, but I sure would like a car big enough to haul things...

  • Just got home from our park trip plus bonus drive through a gorgeous "in our wildest dreams" type neighborhood. It was lovely. Now, I'm looking forward to relaxing this afternoon and evening.

    Kristan :) PM back

Riss -- Ireland sounds amazing. I'll pencil you in for that GTG, too.

Prof - I would definitely be bummed to still not get the car.
