Ceremony Locations

I'm looking for a ceremony location, preferably outdoors, for the summer of possibly 2014. I want something that overlooks the skyline, but I don't know where to start looking. Ideally the reception location would be the Field Museum, but as I just got engaged a few days ago, nothing is for sure yet. Any suggestions how to star my search or recommendations?

<div> you can try the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame on Taylor St. I know it sounds odd, but on the third floor they have a beautiful ballroom, and the fourth floor is a rooftop terrace overlooking the city for ceremonies.</div><div>

  • FYI, the Field Musuem costs about 20k to rent out for a Saturday night in the summer months. It is one of the most expensive places to have a reception in the city

  • I was looking for indoor/outdoor places as well.  While I was looking for something more casual, you might be interested in: J. Parker at Hotel Lincoln, Zed 451, Market. Good Luck!
  • Planetarium, Cafe Brauer, Trump Tower deck, Promontory Point
  • best place to start is looking at the knote magazines they have tones of places in the city and out of the city just to get ideas and the nice thing is you can look them up onlie for reviews photos ect...

next i would go to some wedding shows but bring a bag with 2 sectiond one side of places ur intrested in and the other for place u dont care...( their a lot of fun if its just u and ur mom or a few girlfriends with u but if u bring a crowed and the groom tobe its like taking them all to the mall shopping for shoes the girls love it guys whant to leave asap.) thay tend to have tastings there too. some do cost money but i know you can get into a few for free like th e chicago bride expo if u have a code but u can get that from most bridal magazines.

best advice i can give u is have fun while planing and do lots of resurch before booking... good luck
