Married Gals: Registry Question

What's the one item that you regret registering for because you got it, and then realized you didn't need it or don't really use it?

All this fine china! I'm sure one day we will use it... one day, but all this stuff was hundreds and hundreds of dollars and kind of seems like a waste for us right now.

I am so happy that I don't have to register for china! We got it as a gift from a family member a couple of years ago. (Just wanted to add my little bit there... I'm not a "married gal" yet:  :-)

I don't really want to register for china. I am in college and I don't want to have to deal with moving things around all the time (since we have a new apartment every year). That's one of the things I'm not registering for. Instead we use some really nice ceramic dishes that my mom got us last year.

Not married either but thought I would give my two cents...

There wasnt really anything, because we decided not to put anything on the registry solely for the sake that we were "supposed to" register for it.  No china etc.  I'm trying to think if theres anything we got that we haven't used, and I can't think of anything.

Not married yet, obviously, but I'm SO excited to register for china! We hosted FI's family for Christmas dinner this year and I was bummed because we didn't have chine to eat on (big tradition in my family) and hardly any serving dishes. Totally doing a joint-family Christmas or Thanksgiving next year!

PP, I agree.  We are big on hosting events (I have been informed by my dad that thanksgiving will be at my house next year) and I am so excited to have registered for china and serving pieces.  We also didn't put anything on there just because.  FI has a lot of stuff b/c he has furnished his own apt for the past 4 yrs with nice things (even though I don't have anything except for clothes and shoes!) so we didn't put things on there that we had but just would like a new one of.  Like my mom gave me her old calphalon pans and they are really nice, just old and seen better days, but we didn't register for any pans b/c we would rather get other things that we don't have now.  Anyway I'm not married yet either, just thought I would throw my two cents in too.

I wasn't going to register for Fine China and received some from an older relative as a gift.  Even if I didn't, I still would not have registered for it.

Also, I registered for a steamer and an iron and got both and haven't opened either.

Wife - FAIL.  lol... not really, we're just really dependent on our dry cleaner!
