DIY Sound System?

I am trying to DIY as much as possible.  For the ceremony music I am having my brother play guitar and my brother-in-law is performing the ceremony.  It just dawned on me that with around 80 people, it will be hard to hear on the beach.  Does anyone have any ideas for a mini sound system on the beach?  My brother works in music so I am sure he has an amp/mic I could use, but how do you deal with power on the beach?  Trying not to rent some expensive system if I can avoid it.

    I am wondering this myself. We are going to have between 80-100 guests, and we will want to play ceremony music. My dad being a musician has an amp and mic and such, but HOW are we going to power it is what is baffling me. We were figuring that worse comes to worse we would get speakers for our iPod/iPhone and then just "scream" our vows.. Haha
