what percentage of guests will not come to wedding?

Does anyone know the percentage of ppl that will  not come to your wedding? For example, If I am inviting 185, what are the chances we will end up with 160?
thanks for the help!

Re: what percentage of guests will not come to wedding?

  • You should assume 100% of your guests will reply yes - and plan for 100% attendance, meaning a venue that fits 185 and a budget for 185.  There is no way to tell who will RSVP no.

Also, you should leave wiggle room on your guest list for any single people who have a SO by the time your wedding comes around.  We have a really long engagement, so we left room for a potential SO for every single person at the time we made our guest list.
  • I invited 152 and about 110 came.

  • It really depends, but as someone else already stated, plan for 100 attendance! We have a few guests who we think "Probably wont come" but we have space and the budget for them just in case they do!
  • We invited 150 and 99 came, so about 2/3. I have no idea if that's normal though.

  • From what I hear the 'average' is you lose 10 to 15 percent. But really there is no way to tell before hand
