Stag and Doe Shirts

Hi -

I'm looking to get my wedding party shirts for our stag and doe. Any suggestions what we could put on them?

I've seen Team Bride or Team (name of bride) but any other suggestions?

Stag and doe fundraising events are not well thought of on these forums.
  • Just put "Fundraiser Staff" on them.

Yup. This is my vote. Call them what they are.

  • Barbie, it's a fundraiser for a wedding. Couples sell tickets to their friends and family (and sometimes even strangers) to come and hang out and eat and drink for like $5 a head and then use the money to help fund their wedding.

  • It is common in Canada and some areas of the Northeast as I understand it. I first heard about it from one of my bridesmaids who is Canadian. Unfortunately, her brother had one.

  • What an odd custom.

This is exactly right. I am from Massachusetts and pretty much everyone around her has one. My fianc and I are not. I don't mind attending them bc they can be a good time but I would never host one. Typically it's a member of the bridal party or parents who host it. The icing on the cake for me is when the bride and groom throw it for themselves

[QUOTE]Is this a regional thing? I have never heard about it nor has anyone I know ever done anything like this.

I would seriously side-eye any of my friends or acquaintances if they had one of these. Why is it my responsibility to pay for the wedding that you "deserve" but can't afford?
  • I am from Canada and pretty much everybody I know has them.  I still think they're tacky.  The concept of inviting people you aren't inviting to the wedding (or just to "the dance", hello tiered receptions) is terrible.  Luckily, my FI agrees.

OP, I tell you this to show you that even when it is the norm, people still judge you for it.
