Nude or silver colored shoes

For my bridesmaids, I'm trying to decide on what color to request for their shoes.  I know that if I required a specific shoe in a weird color I would need to purchase them for the girls- which I can't really afford.

I was thinking either nude or silver.  Are those colors popular enough options to allow my ladies to choose to either buy or use a shoe they already have?  

Would it look strange if I gave the girls both options and some wore silver and some wore nude, to give them more of a choice?  They are all picking their own dresses (long and hunter green) so it wouldn't be that visible.  I'm really enjoying how each of their personalities is seen in the dress they choose, and like the idea of the shoes following in the same way.

So- what do you ladies think?

    You aren't necessarily required to buy their shoes, but it would be nice. :)
    I told my girls originally Black or Silver Heels/ Pumps, this was like September. By the time this year rolled around they were like we need new heels anyway so they let me pick their heels for the wedding. We got Silver Sparkle pumps.

    It wouldn't be weird or strange to give them a choice, some people like more direction as well. If you can't see them I think different shoes are ok. Also I was in a wedding where we all wore different shoes and the guests thought it was cute.

    Depends on your really. Are you attached to the shoes matching? will it bother you if you see their shoes in photos and they are different?

    All of my bridesmaids chose whatever shoes they wanted. It was just fine and I didn't even notice. They even had short dresses!! Laughing

    Silvery shoes seem promlike to me, more than matching bridesmaids dresses. Id go with nude, more grown up looking and can probably rewear in the office

    if it was a winter wedding i would go with silver if its a summer wedding black or nude goes with almost everything. sliver to me is to winterly like

    I think that silver can sometimes be easier to find in a variety of styles compared to nude. Depending on what time of year your wedding is you could even go black shoes. The girls dresses in my wedding were dark brown, they voted themselves that they wanted brown shoes (I was going to tell them black figuring every women has a pair of black dress shoes). Then none of them could find brown shoes they liked so I told them to just get something that goes with the brown. They all ended up going metallic, just different tones. The shoes looked good with their dresses I don't think anyone noticed that they had different styles & colors of shoes. Now if one of them would have worn bright yellow or neon green, well that would have stood out. But I think most bridesmaids have enough good taste not to do something like that.

    My wedding is in the winter, and I'm using a lot of silver and white christmas lighting in the decor.  

    On the other hand, I agree that nude is more grown up looking, and I really like the nude heels myself.

    I'm just divided... maybe I'll just let my ladies choose and who cares, since they have long dresses anyway!

    If they have long dresses, give them the option of both. No one will see! :)

     I'd be more likely to have silver strappy shoes than nude ones, but more likely to have nude closed toe than silver ones.

    You let them pick the dresses to let their personalities shine through.

    Let them know you'd like either nude or silver, and let them go from there! 

    Just my opinion, which is worth exactly what you paid for it.  ;)

    It sounds like you really don't care, so I'd just give them a choice. While I love me some nude heels, I can't find any that are comfortable so I'd pick silver :)

    I just bought myself a pair of nude heels from Betsey Johnson, I cant wait till they get here!

    Anyways, back on topic... I think it will be nice to let them decide which they want. Both silver and nude will look great with the dresses! 

    and i think you cam do a cute little picture with all the girls pulling the hunter greet dresses up to expose everyones sexy shoes!

    A variety can look nice! I asked our girls to stick with nude/bronze/gold/brown shades in any style, and this is what we got:
