Confession Thursday

Good morning, ladies!  Confessions go here :-)

Re: Confession Thursday

  • I confess that all I want to do is focus on wedding details and not work. There are a lot of little things to put in place so this will go off without a hitch :-)

I also confess that I'm a little concerned FI now wants to add a "livestream" function so that people who are not going can see the ceremony. Yet, he's getting jitters because so many people (~30) will be there watching us. Oy.

  • I confess that I am a little bit sad that having a destination wedding, which was my FI's dream, is keeping us from going on the honeymoon of MY dreams.. but I am hopefull we can go the year after the wedding!

I confess that I'm annoyed that my FI doesn't want to do an AHR anymore. My grandparents are too old to go to the wedding in Mexico and the AHR was supposed to be a chance for them to celebrate with us. And we aren't planning to do it for 4-5 months after the wedding so it's not like we'll be broke! (Also, it wont be an expensive venture at all!)
  • Delea,

I hear you! I had the same issue in regards to not having the wedding of my dreams and skipping the honeymoon. Hopefully, it can all work out. You can just do what I did...
go to every bridal show offering the chance to win a honeymoon untill you actually win. That was my plan and it worked! lol

And I'm sure you can convince FI to have a AHR, You've got lots of time. You can just do  a simple party in the park with everyone.

  • That's what my plan is. We aren't geting married until January and then we dont want to do the AHR until later in the year when it's warmer out.

Don't get me wrong, I love the destination wedding idea. It just wasn't my dream. I've never been overly "bridal" so I had always fantasized more about the honeymoon. I would have been happy with a city hall wedding! LOL! But the destination wedding will be amazing none the less :)
  • Delea fingers crossed you win a free honeymoon but a trip on your year anniversary would be awesome too! Kate I am with you, I am soooo unproductive at work! I confess that I am upset that i am more stressed and annoyed than I am excited. I understand my family wants an AHR but its really taking a toll on my excitement and bank account :(

I confess that we still haven't even started looking at the AHR stuff. We included a note in our invitations that we were having one so we don't really have a choice at this point but I would love to not do it. :-(

Also - for some reason my work computer is freaking out whenever I come to this board so I have to navigate through a bunch of other links to get here. annoying.
