I need Ceremony Site Ideas :)

Hi all!!
I am planning a fall wedding, and looking for a place to just have the wedding ceremony, with the reception being at a hotel, since I will have many out-of-town guests. All of the places I am looking at for a ceremony are not close to any nice hotels that I think will accomodate the guests. I live around Albany but am willing to go more north if needed....
Planning about 85 guests with approx. 20 rooms needed. Thank you in advance for any input you can give me!!! Laughing

I am having my reception at the Six Flags Lodge in Queensbury, they have been great and it is nice there. It is off exit 20 of the northway. They block off rooms for your wedding and give discounts. I also thought they were reasonably priced, go to their website  and email them for a wedding package, they will email it, this includes all the prices and such. http://www.sixflagsgreatescapelodge.com/

They have a nice patio made of stone outside for a ceremony site or they will do it inside.

We are also having our reception at the Great Escape Lodge. They have great prices and they are awesome to work with. The patio is in one of their lodge tour videos on the website.

I went to a wedding at Great Escape Lodge and it was really nice, but there was one think that I would not like if I was the one getting married. Their outdoor ceremony space is next to the windows of the indoor water park, so when the bride was walking down the aisle there were kids in their bathing suits at the windows staring. I did not care for that...
I heard that Georgian in Lake George is nice and affordable and they have outdoor reception area. Also the Longfellows in Saratoga. Great place and hotel but not as affordable :(

    Good Luck!

We are getting married at Fort William Henry in Lake George. They have both indoor and outdoor ceremony space. Our ceremony is going to be on the lawn overlooking the lake and our reception is in their ballroom. If we have inclement weather, the ceremony is moved into the tavern (a room connected to the ballroom). The prices are affordable (though dont get turned off by the prices online) and the venue is great. They will do everything they can to work with your budget. They have 3 different hotels on their grounds. They range from $98-$250ish per night with the wedding discount.

I had my reception at the great escape lodge last month and it was great. The staff were so great and the food was a huge hit! They also give you the suite for the night of your wedding for free. I did see The Georgian when I was looking around and it has an incredibly view, absolutely gorgeous! And they were reasonably priced as well.

Check out this website, they have a ton of info that will help you out:
