Hi ladies! Just thought I'd share with you a little problem that we have run into... in the hopes that you can learn from our mistake and avoid this headache yourselves!
My Fiance and I had a short engagement and did not send out Save the Dates. But, because we are getting married 5 hours away from our hometown, and 98% of our guestlist will be traveling... we decided to send our invites out a bit early to give everyone plenty of time to make their travel arrangements.
Our wedding is July 13th. And we sent our invites out April 12th.
We have since gotten quite a few RSVPs back with many people attending (yay!)... buuuuut a number of people have neglected to write their names on the RSVPS before sending them back to us! They have all filled out the 'number of people attending' box, but left the name line blank. So now we know how MANY people will be coming... but we don't know who these people are. And if I don't know who is coming, I certainly can't make a proper seating chart.

It's an honest mistake and oversight on the part of our guests, but it's still very frusrtating!
If I could go back in time, I would either write the guests names on their RSVPs card myself... or, 'code' each invite (with a little,
inconspicuous number written on a corner of each rsvp card) and match that to a list that I kept on hand here at home. This way, when the rsvps came in, I simply match their number with the list I had on hand and- VOILA- I would know who is came from.
Just wanted to share this little experience with those of you who have not yet sent your invites!
