What are you doing with your bouquet?

What is everyone doing with their bouquet?  Originally I wanted to have it preserved in one of those shadow boxes but then I realized that can cost several hundred dollars!  I heard one method of hair spraying the heck out of it to make it preserved as possible!  Any thoughts?

I had no desire to have my bouquet in a glass box because it would just be one more thing to have to dust.  What I did was buy some unbreakable ornaments at Christmas from Michael's (one for me, one for dd, and one for the child we hope to adopt) and I will pick 1 perfect petal from each flower and stuff it in there.  I will let the petals dry in there and then put the top on.  This way I can have part of my bouquet but not have to save the whole thing.

I may buy an ornament display hook so I can display mine year round but the ones for the kids will go in their ornament boxes.  I made sure to get the plastic ones so there's no danger of them breaking.  (I buy dd an unbreakable ornament each year that has to do with whatever she's "into" that particular year so when she moves into her first home, she has some ornaments to start off with.  My grandmother did that for me and I thought it was the sweetest thing.)

  • I made my boquet from real-touch flowers because I was thinking I might keep it. I may try to sell them on esty or ebay or something after the fact (the BM bouquets and all the bouts are real-touch, too). They look pretty nice!
  • I'm going to have a copy of mine made in fake flowers and keep it in a vase at our house.
  • I had a second bouquet made for my bridal portrait out of silk flowers, so I'm just going to keep that one and toss the real bouquet.
  • Mine is brooch and fabric bouquet I got from ebay. I'll either box it up and put it in the attic, or sell it to someone else that might use it.
