How was everyone's Easter weekend?

H and I had my family over before Easter dinner for snacks and champagne to celebrate one year of us owning our home. It was nice to have everyone over. It also forced me to clean the house like a mad woman and to do a lot of overdue laundry so that the house looked crisp and clean for company. I hope it stays that way for a while!

My Easter was nice but uneventful. My husband's sister and brother and his sister's kids were visiting family in MD, so they came by and took me out for breakfast on their way back to FL. That was nice b/c I haven't seen them since the wedding and had never met the kids before.

spent my Easter fending off questions about when we'll start making grandchildren for my poor deprived H's parents.

But I got to do my first ever Easter Egg Hunt! I totally won too.

Oh gosh, the kids question... thankfully my family knows our rough timeline (not having them for a few years), so fortunately we don't get asked that often.

My friends and I had an adult Easter egg hunt on Friday night. One of our friends bought a bunch of those plastic eggs, filled them with some candy, and also either put a silly "dare" in them, or one of the rules from the drinking game <a href="http://www.divinedinnerparty.com/kings-drinking-game.html" rel="nofollow">Kings</a> (<---clicky if you don't know the game). We hungout and were drinking for a bit, then we started the egg hunt and then opened the eggs and followed the instructions inside. It was a fun time!

That sounds fun Buzz! I wish the weather here was nicer so we could've done some stuff outside! At least it was sunny all weekend, now its bloody cold and crazy windy.

Pele, congrats on your first hunt. My mom always used to say no one won, but I always did. Oldest = fastest in my family.

Sorry I am late today I am in job limbo right now so I didn't have a lot of time to chat.

I did my cake testing! we had a ton of cupcakes but we picked raspberry lemonaid flavored cake with buttercream frosting!
it was delicious!
