That sounds delicious. I LOVE pasta. Especially spag & meatballs. How does he prepare the meatballs? I am on a mission to make my meatballs exactly like FIs Gma does. According to FI, I am getting closer each time.

  • FI was supposed to be at a buddy's until 6, helping him renovate his basement. It's almost 7, so I've decided that he can take me out for dinner when he comes home, since I no longer feel like cooking. Problem solved!

  • DH made fried rice with squash, zucchini, corn and peas.  We are about to walk Chef to Dairy Queen for dessert.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • It's in the70s here today so we pulled out the grill!

We're having BBQ chicken, rosemary potatoes, and squash and zucchini all on the grill. I'm sitting out on the patio right now and Rox is roaming the yard. I love spring :)

  • We had a late lunch at BW3's so we aren't making dinner, but I do have a pan of brownies in the oven and FI is having a hard time concentrating on his homework because of it!
  • We're making a honey roasted chicken from our Game of Thrones cook book, then having some friends over to watch the show itself.  It's a Sunday tradition :P.

    Anniversary

  • FI is on is way to go pick up Chinese food.  We don't cook really on the weekends.

    Anniversary

  • I made chicken tortilla soup in the crockpot. It was seriously distracted all. day.
    Anniversary
  • Brick chicken with orange slices under the skin (for FI; I'm veg).

    Wild rice pilaf.

Green beans with shallots and miso butter.

Debating if I want to make myself tofu.

Finally figured out how to get the damn cork out of the Moscato D'Asti, and I'm now drinking it. It really wasn't worth the trouble, though. Five sips in and I can already feel the hangover.

  • Yum yum chicken pomodoro over spagetti- my brother and I took a cooking class and that's one of the recipes. We also made angel wing cookies - puff pastry, cinnimon and SUGAR (also another recipe from the class).

And now I have leftovers for lunch :)

  • Roast pork tenderloin with a garlic & herb rub, roast baby gold potatoes, green beans, strawberries.  I'll have good leftovers this week.
