MOH and BM hair and make-up

I can't afford to have my MOH and BMs hair and make-up done so they are doing their own. I kinda want to keep it uniform, have them all wear their hair down and somewhat similar make-up styles (mine will be neutral so I though that would be nice). All the girls have different hair length. My MOH wants to have her hair up in a ponytail and have purplish make-up. I just don't know what I should do. Would it be odd if she were that different from the others, even though she is the MOH?

     I don't think it would look odd at all, especially since she is the MOH and (in my opinion) should stand out a little. Personally, I prefer to have the BM's pick their own hair and make-up styles, so that they are the most comfortable and feel fabulous. However, that is just me, and I know many brides like the BMs to have the same look. If that is your preference, maybe you could talk to the MOH and explain the look that you are going for?

    I agree with Leann in just letting them pick what they want.  Being a bridesmaid in other weddings and hating updos on myself, I speak from experience! 

    If it makes you feel better, my girls are wearing a big combo of hair styles and only two (out of five) are getting their hair professionally done.  I left it all up to them!

    I've only been to weddings where the girls hair was uniform so I was worried about it. I'll just let my girls know to do whatever they want. Thanks ladies!

    I wouldn't worry about it. Honestly, if I were your BM, I would hate having to wear my hair down. It's super fine and would look like crap about 20 minutes after I styled it down, so I'd feel like I'd look terrible in all of your pictures, which would upset me. Just let them be comfortable. No one will notice her makeup unless she ends up looking like the chick from the drew carey show :)

    ETA - reading fail - I see that you've already decided to let them do what they want. I think that's good...I'm going to go learn how to read now.

    To be honest I've got 5 million other things to worry about other than what my girls are doing for their hair and make-up. If I don't have to worry about it that's a score 1 for me. Gives me more time to worry about a FMIL vs mom showdown.

    Oh thank goodness there's someone else, lol! I feel like I'm acting like such a stuck up when there are these things I really don't care about; this is one of them. And I'm tying so hard not to be a B or bridezilla, so I'm glad there's someone else who feels like this!
