Wedding Woes

Cheap Guest

We just had our reception and we were so happy people were able to attend. Now this post is not about money since me and my bride had no help from parents NONE!

The question is we had a guest that came and took the over amount of favor, cookies, stole and extra cupcake before they were served flowers etc and gave us $10.00.

Yes that 10 period. How can I tell her she's cheap and that is unacceptable in a nice way before my wife lets her know....

HELP ASAP!!!

Re: Cheap Guest

  • You don't say anything. Period. We had guests that did not give us even an empty card and we just left it at that. Send a thank you note for coming to the wedding and leave it at that. Just move on.

Yes, as you suggested, a notification is in order. May I suggest this verse:

    You are cheap,
    I am rude,
    Let's get together
    And be total d-bags together

Sorry it didn't rhyme. I tried.

  • Wow - she was a rude guest. And you would be equally rude to point it out. There is nothing good that would come out of that.

    You were rude
And so I will be too!

  • How do you know she stole an extra cupcake? Is it really stealing if they are sitting out for the taking?

i think you need to do it as an interpretive dance. do it as a couple, have your wife do the dance and you throw money at her, but then snatch it up. they'll catch on. invte them over for coffee and then give them this special surprise performance.

    they'll be so embarassed!

Thanks for the tip. That's all I wanted not all these comments but whatever I expect it. Let me ask you didn't it make you so upset? I mean my guest go out all the time and post on FB vaca, drinking party, etc. I just can believe that and to be bent over. Believe me I have no problem with people eating all our food, but people took cupcakes, which is our "cake" before dinner. I mean are people clueless? I mean if somebody took a slice of your cake wouldn't you be upset? We served the best meal and it was just a slap in the face. Sorry just venting again thanks for the tip.

That's right, WZ. What do you know? What do you know about interpretive dance communication tactics if you are still years away from your wedding? Geez. You should be ashamed.
