We're getting ours from Patissiere Bleu on Main St. in Nashua.  They are so nice there and they are using my family's cake recipie.

We also tried Michelle's patries in Manchester.  Her cakes were very yummy and affordable, but her decorating style is very traditional and we wanted something more modern.

I recommend checking out either of those.  There is also Jauques and Frederick's, which tend to have good reviews on this board.

    Good luck!

We are using Wild Orchid Baking Company out of North Hampton, NH. Erin the owner was wonderful when we met with her and FI and I loved our cake tasting.

There is all Hippie Chick Bakery out of Kensington NH I believe.

We are going with Jacques. They do some incredible modern designs, but we are going with something a little more traditional. FI doesn't like cake, but he loves Jacques.

I ditto the significant other who is not a "sweets" guy. DH does not like cake and deciding on our cake and flavors was one of his favorite things. I highly recommend Jacques! So yummy - and their designs are awesome! Go check them out even if it is just for a tasting. ;)

Probably the best tasting cake I've ever had.  Debby actually hunted down a topper that matched our personalities and accommodated my bizarre request to have a miniature cat figurine that looked like our cat on the cake.

Our cake is from Jacques Pastries. I'm usually not a fan of wedding cake...too dry...gritty buttercream. But at our tasting I was blown away from how amazing the cake was. It's sooo moist and the buttercream was nice and smooth. We chose two tiers of the spice cake with alternating layers of caramel buttercream and apple preserve fillings and then one tier of red velvet with chocolate truffle filling.

We are getting our 4 tier buttercream cake with Japanese maple leaves made from sugar from Chickadee Hill Cakes.  Her cakes are perfect and her decorating skills are top notch.  Shara is incorporating apersonal recipe in one layer for us no problem.
We went to four different bakeries and Shara was the cheapest coming in around $4.25 per slice including delivery etc.  Jacques came out to $7.21 a slice!!, Fredericks was $5.95, and Konditor Meister was $4.95  Definetly pays to shop around.
