Surprise Punk Proposal

My guy and I have been together 5 years this May. We have a mutual friend photographer friend who we've both done a few photo shoots with. A few weeks ago, I got a message from her asking if we would be interested in doing a Sid and Nancy inspired photo shoot. She wanted a dirty, gritty punk vibe.

Since that is so far from my every day look, I was all over it! I put on the thick black makeup, the grungy t-shirt, short skirt, ripped fishnets, stripey socks and boots. My guy and I went downtown and met the photographer in a dirty alley full of graffiti. For one shot she asked me to lean against the wall and close my eyes, pretending to be passed out (a la true Nancy) while "Sid" (my guy) did some crazy poses. I thought to myself... what is he up to? Omg... it's happening!

When I opened my eyes, he was on one knee with a ring. I was frozen in place! He was talking but it was like I couldn't hear him. I did manage to hear "I will always protect you" and "will you marry me" I replied with" of course!" and jumped into his arms.

My first thought? I can't show this to my 99 year old grandma!Tongue Out

This happened last Saturday (March 16). I can't wait to see the pictures!

  • Congrats and happy planning!
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
