seen this on the June board thought it would be fun to start on here

Confession; i need a vacation, im overwlmed with two jobs. but the $ is needed in order to have a great time in Vegas for 6 days. (i can quit one right after the wedding yay!)

Vent; people are not rsvping they are texting or telling us in person! what should i do carry a notebook with me? common people you can rsvp via a smartphone on our website

Confession: I can't stop eating my kids' Easter candy

Vent: We are two weeks out and guests are adding people and one person just sent me his address via facebook...um, we're two weeks out and you didn't get an invite/make the cut. Deal with it. But now FI is wanting me to include him...Dude- we are TWO WEEKS away from our wedding.

Confession: My two kids and FI's son still don't know our wedding date!

Vent: FI's Mom, Sister and Dad still don't know if they are coming to the wedding and I guess will decide last minute if they will go (really?? On a holiday weekend, you think you will find a cheap hotel room?) And not like I need to have a count or anything for favors, cupcakes, dinner or if I'm ordering him mom a corsage and his dad a bountonniere, but no really TAKE YOUR TIME!!

Confession: We have invited 65 but only hoping for 40. Vent: Like others, people just inviting other people to our wedding. Yes Vegas is awesome but this is our very private and intimate wedding. We dont care who you travel with but NO they cant come to our wedding for free food and drinks.

lol u beat me! well if u were getting married at Disneyland ur kids would know the date i bet. memorial wknd right? good luck to them, its like we didn't give enough notice for these people to make there minds up, i guess nobody believe's in common courtesy anymore...i would never take longer then 2 wks to rsvp to a wedding after i got the invite. parents are another story thou they should be there, my dad is going for 24 hrs lol lame i know but i guess im thankful he at least rsvp'd-lol

Confession - I can see less than I'm letting on (going to the Eye doctor in 2 weeks...but everything is super blurry....)

Vent - The amount of people my FI is inviting to our wedding is pissing me off! First we were trying to add people because her cousin got prego and we thought most of her family would be going for that blessed event. Turns out .. Nope they're coming to the wedding. But now we've added a bunch of people I don't know and really have no interest in knowing.

We had FI's aunt and uncle who were only invited try pulling this and declining our invite saying they only attend events that the entire family is invited to meaning their daughters, husbands and all their brats. UH NOT HAPPENING SO BYE don't come then! People are getting on my nerves LOL

Confession: Doing some horrible damage to my wallet right now shopping for Vegas. I probably should save money for when we actually get to Vegas!

Vent: Lol we are all venting about the same thing. GUESTS WHO THINK RSVPing ISN'T A BIG DEAL! Sorry for the caps but seriously! Yeah I'm having a Vegas wedding, but it's still a formal affair that has taken me a long time to plan (and a lot of money!). You can't just show up without telling/decide to cancel without communicating through us/inviting whoever. This ain't no BOOTLEG wedding!

That's what a lot of people think too..That because it's in Vegas it's an Elvis theme bootleg wedding. People I've showed my dress too and things, when they see it they say 'Oh wow, so this IS going to be a real wedding'! Seriously....wth!

Confession: I really really want a cupcake tower or small wedding cake for people to eat after our reception. My fiance doesn't think it's necessary because the restaurant is providing dessert. I will probably secretly order a cake and hope he just takes it in stride on our wedding day.

Vent: My MOH who is having a destination wedding next summer is only going to come to Vegas for the day before and day of our wedding. I get that she doesn't want to miss much work and I'm glad she's coming at all, but I know she will not be happy if I spend the same amount of time at her destination wedding.

FI just said to let it slide so one family is bringing a nanny/niece to watch their kids, one asked to bring his 'friend' and then one old friend sent his address two days ago even though he wasn't going to be invited.

Also, I guess someone wants their friend (who knows FI too) who lives in Vegas to be able to come too...whether or not that person is actually coming remains to be told...I'm trying not to stress too much...

LOL Exactly! FI's famly is being a bunch of babies. The dad for the past 4 yrs has been saying he's dying so the mom and sister are going to wait to see if he's well enough to drive them I guess if he's still 'alive' LOL His sister is being dramatic that she can't drive long distances...COME ON..I've got senior citizens driving themselves to Vegas! She's also afraid to fly (even though she never has) so that's out. If the sister and mom go without the dad then they would have to take Greyhound and how would they get around because they've never driven in Taxi's...IT'S NOT DIFFICULT! You get in a cab, tell him take you to point A then return you to point B. I'm seriously so over it LOL THEN I have the flakey Cousin I told you all about a few weeks ago who still hasn't RSVP'd and the RSVP date is April 18th. To me, when she received the invite that should have been her move to contact me so now she can lose my number and play games with someone else! WOW I really had a lot more to vent about than what I put in my original response LOL

Confession: I am a little worried (and jealous) that my niece (who will be 5 months old at the wedding) will steal my thunder since she's an adorable baby and most of my family are scattered around and it's the first grandchild for my Mom.

Vent: I got an invite to an old college friend's wedding across the country a week before ours. With just my name on it. No note on the inside saying "bring your live-in FI, or even a guest since you won't know 99% of the people at my wedding".

Well I wasn't sure about the whole etiquette thing when I send out invitations - I invited the people I knew (if I didn't know their spouses or significant others, I didn't put their name down) <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif" border="0" alt="Cry" title="Cry" /> I guess I assumed that if they are married or dating someone it was a given that they would bring that person.

I have to say this is a great board! And I agree with the posts on here. I think that some of my guests think that this is going to be a casual type wedding...but ITS NOT! I am trying to pull out all the stops to make this fun yet formal. That's annoying.
I still have 7 months to go and haven't sent out invites quite yet (we did std's) and we are also getting word of a few extras that think they are coming, or new boyfriends etc that didn't exist before lol. This isn't a friggen free for all...i have numbers to think off when it comes to catering and amount of people in the Vista Suite. I am already hoping that some people decline so it can be a more intimate affair.

I've had co-workers who assumed they were invited telling me 'You know I'm flying there'! Oh I know your NOT because your not even invited! lol Amazes me people think it's just a free for all because it's Vegas or they want to use our wedding as 'Well me and so and so have been planning a party trip down there so this is perfect'! Love this!

Confession: I only thought 20 people would RSVP for our 10 year wedding anniversary vow renewal. We're looking at 40 - many are international, the pressure is on!!

Vent: MIL has claimed she and FIL can't come because they have to (need to?) 'redo the floors.' They have known about our event for at least a year! I am livid.
