Sand ceremony placement in a Christian Wedding Ceremony

My Fiancee' & I have opted for the sand ceremony rather than unity candles but, I am totally confused as to where  the Sand ceremony fits in to a traditional Christian ceremony.....Help, Please?!

    You could do right before the vows. Anyplace, would be fine I would think. :-)

    I think it depends on the couple. Wherever you feel it will fit in naturally.
