hello ladies! I'm here because I'm having a little trouble, and since everyone here was so great back when I got married I'm hoping I can get the same kind of help now. I'm trying to throw my husband a surprise party in august, and I've already checked with the shoreland park shelter house, the carr and samaria park houses, olander park, wildwood and secor park, and conn-weisenberger, and all of them are either booked or WAY over priced for a b-day party.
can anyone think of any other smaller venues that you used for a small wedding or a shower?

     I would try various VFW posts. I do not know what the average price is, but I would imagine it is not terrible. Anywhere you look will be most expensive on a Saturday and im not sure what day you are planning this for.
