florist help!

I've been contacting different florists in the area and getting prices to see who I want to go with....but I'm starting to feel like I have no idea what is an average of fair price for things. Flowers is one area I didn't really have budgeted out what I want to spend so I'm having trouble--what do you all think is the average amount to spend on flowers?

Not sure what people think of as average but our flower bill is estimated around $1100. That was on the lower side of estimates that we got however. Most of them ranged around $1600.

I'm just curious because I'm still working out flowers myself and I don't have any reference point for price either-  When you (those who estimated about 1,000 - 1,600) refer to flowers, does that just mean wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres etc. or does that include centerpieces and other arrangements? Thanks!

Thanks girls! I have just struggled with flowers from the beginning I want them to look great but I don't have specific types of flowers in mind and have no idea what I should have been looking to spend. I am considering both Fosters Flower Shop and Karen's on Country Road? Advice on either one?

I've heard great things about Karen's and I saw her booth at the York Wedding Expo this weekend. Amazing ideas! I plan on calling her for an appointment. I think MB is using her and always says great things about her!

I'm using Karen's on Country Road and you will love her. She's great with helping you stay within a budget and showing you some really beautiful ideas if you need suggestions. I went to Foster's first and although I liked Marcy she was way too expensive for me. IMO she was more about giving you the more costly options then helping you budget. When my mother and I sat down with Karen she was all about helping to stay in budget and gave ideas on what would look beautiful and would look like more for less. You'll love her! I recommend her to anyone bride!

As far as the price of actually closer to $1000 now ( I cut out my arbor, didn't like the look of it) that included all bridal party flowers, boutonniere for all groomsmen, readers, ushers, etc. All ceremony decorations and reception decorations.

    It's a great deal IMO

If you need her contact info just let me know!

I'm  using Marcy from fosters flower shop.  She is amazing.  She has lots of examples to show as well as new and innovative ideas.  She is will to work with every budget.  I couldn't say better things about her.  She is fast with communication and also helped me by reaching out to my venue about questions concerning flower placement and reusing ceremony flowers for the reception to cut cost.  I would definitely make an appointment to me with her.  She's amazing
