Seating chart complete!

I just did it and only took me like 20 minutes! We still need to hear from like 25 people but I just included most of the ones who I thought would be there and if they decline then oh well, no big deal, just less people at their table and more elbow room lol. Phew! I had been dreading that and for no reason, it was super easy lol. I just need to make sure when we have the official table chart from our venue to keep the table with my mother and table with her evil MIL on opposite ends of the room haha.

  • I was dreading the seating chart as well, but FI, FSIL/wedding planner and I tackled it in 15 minutes. Afterwards I was like "That's it!?" Luckily we don't have to keep anyone seperated as neither of the two parties in question will be attending the reception (one can't even come to the wedding so moot point). There will be issues if FMIL and my mom get into it before the wedding. My mom offended FMIL and FMIL is not one to take things lying down. But believe me I will be rooting for FMIL; my mom deserves it.
  • I'm jealous of your 20 minutes - I definitely spend multiple sessions on mine...tempermental family!  Congrats!

  • I really hope it sticks for you! We did the same thing but had some weird last minute yeses (who had originally, verbally told us no) and some weird last minute noes and had to redo everything. The redo only took about 20 minutes but it was still stressful!
  • So far I've only got 2 "random" tables with all the people who don't really come with a crowd all sitting together. I tried my best to keep it young people with young people and older, more conversative people with the same type of crowd. I figure they'll only be eating dinner together anyway so it's not a huge deal. 

    The only beef we have in the family is the whole thing I mentioned before with the divorce topic between my mom and stepdad, and stepdad's mom has been pushing for this for years and is an evil hoar who I really don't want at the wedding to begin with but her husband is the sweetest guy who really wants to see me get married, so what are ya gonna do. I'll just be sure to avoid the woman. 

    Fingers crossed nothing comes up that totally screws it up but I'm at the point where I don't give a fudge anymore... nursing school has been so overwhelming I haven't been able to focus much on little wedding details. One of my BM asked how I wanted their nails and I was like "I really don't care. Less decisions for me the better" No wonder some brides get so stressed out, they micromanage everything and then get pissed when small stupid details don't go their way! I say screw it and put my energy into what matters most to me :)

  • It was such a pain for me! We only have one long table so it was hard figuring out how to get people next to each other that knew each other, and keeping 2 couples away from each other since one of each couple dated the other once before, haha. But I figured it out, and people will have to deal lol

  • I spent a lot longer than 20 minutes on mine, nice job!  I had lots of large groups that needed to sit together so most of the tables have 10 at them, I just hope it isn't too cramped!

    I have beet making the seating chart as we have been getting our RSVP's back, and we have a lot of 9 and 11 top tables which is frustrating! Most of our single guests did not want to bring anyone! The only thing we have to do now is my parent's friends tables and they are the majority of the guest list lol.

    We just hammered ours out! I started it and FI finished most of it. We moved around a few people and everyone should be set to go. There's one table that might be a little awkward since they don't know each other, but having tables of 8 and then groups of 5 that you can't split up gets tricky! So they'll deal.

    Now I just need to write out names on the escort cards and attach them to our bottled favors and the big things are good to go!
